Licensed, Bonded & Insured.
Contractor Credentials You Can Verify
When you hire a remodeling contractor to work on your home, their licensing and insurance should be easy to verify. Downy Home Remodeling holds a City of Boulder Class B General Contractor License for our kitchen, bathroom, and complete interior remodeling services in Boulder and surrounding front range communities. We carry commercial general liability insurance, maintain contractor bonding, and make our supporting documentation easy to verify.
Our City of Boulder General Contractor License
A contractor license shows that a company has met the requirements established by the local jurisdiction to perform permitted construction work. Downy Home Remodeling holds a City of Boulder Class B General Contractor License, which covers the type of residential remodeling work we perform. Licensing gives homeowners a way to verify that their contractor is properly qualified and accountable to local building requirements.
Because contractor licensing requirements vary by jurisdiction, we obtain and maintain any local contractor licenses or registrations required for the municipality where each project is performed.
Commercial General Liability Insurance
Commercial general liability insurance helps protect against covered claims involving property damage or bodily injury that may occur in connection with construction work. Remodeling takes place inside your home and often involves multiple trades, tools, materials, and active work areas, so proper insurance is an important part of hiring a professional contractor. We maintain commercial general liability coverage and make our current certificate of insurance available to clients.
Downy Home Remodeling carries commercial general liability insurance for our remodeling operations, and homeowners are welcome to review our current certificate of insurance before beginning a project.
Contractor Bonding
Downy Home Remodeling maintains a Business Services Bond that provides $10,000 in coverage for losses involving a client's property resulting from acts of employee dishonesty, subject to the specific terms and conditions of the bond.
Bonding is separate from our commercial general liability insurance and provides an additional safeguard while our team is working in a client's home.
