When Claire began planning her Table Mesa bathroom remodel, she wanted more than updated finishes- she wanted to expand and fully optimize the use of available space. The original bathroom’s low ceiling compressed the narrow layout, and an awkward shelf held the tub away from the wall, consuming valuable depth. A dark wood vanity with rust-colored tile countertop made the room feel even more enclosed.

We gutted the room down to the studs, opened the ceiling to restore the room’s full height, and rebuilt the wet area as a spacious walk-in shower. A frameless glass enclosure preserves the sightline from one end of the bathroom to the other. A low, tiled partition subtly defines the shower and aids in obstructing the view of the toilet from inside the shower without closing it off. Soft ivory large-panel tile creates a quiet, neutral backdrop, and a full accent wall of wavy textured tile adds both movement and an understated architectural focal point. A low foot niche provides a comfortable leg rest for shaving, while a second tiled niche with a glass shelf adds functional shower storage.

We built a custom navy-blue double vanity with clean, shaker style cabinets and installed undermounted sinks and a sleek white quartz countertop. Electricity was wired to provide light and interior outlets to the recessed cabinet LED mirrors, which provide even task lighting and concealed storage.

Natural gray stone tile was installed across the main bathroom floor and custom cut to integrate a Fittes vent seamlessly into the surrounding floor, giving the room a thoughtful, fully resolved appearance.

The finished bathroom feels brighter, taller, and substantially more open. What was once a visually crowded and inefficient room is now a refined contemporary retreat, calm and spa-like, with sculptural texture, purposeful storage, and carefully considered details throughout.
